CHALK WALK
GINGERBREAD HOUSE CONTEST
WHEN?
Every October, the City of Eagle Mountain hosts a Trick or Treat Village in Nolan Park. The Eagle Mountain Arts Alliance always has a booth for you to stop, chat, and learn more about the arts!
We also hold a Chalk Walk. Each participant gets a sidewalk square to decorate with chalk. There are various age groups and prizes available!
Each year, the City of Eagle Mountain and the EMAA host a Gingerbread House Contest.
Rules:
Make a gingerbread house
Bring it to the Eagle Mountain City Building!
Fine Print:
You are able to use store bought kits, graham crackers, or actual gingerbread to create your house
Please make sure your name is legible on the bottom or side of base
.Please make sure your house is on a sturdy base
.All Gingerbread Houses must be 100% edible candy/embellishments/materials except the base board and candy wrappers.
Completed entries must be submitted at the Eagle Mountain City Building anytime between Monday morning and Friday by 10:00 am the week of the Tree Lighting Ceremony.
All Entries will be judged on the following criteria
o Overall appearance
o Difficulty
o Creativity and originality
o Technique and skill
Winners will be announced following the Tree Lighting Ceremony
Houses must be picked up no later than end of business on the Monday following the Tree Lighting Ceremony or they will be disposed of by the city.
